At DogzBody Spa, we are passionate about education and learning.
As part of our mission to help as many dogs and their families as possible, we offer a 1:1 consultation service for bespoke advice on a number of issues, including coat care and canine behaviour.
We also offer advice to other canine professionals and groomers in relation to the handling and care of Sled breeds, along with other double coat maintenance queries and troubleshooting.
Specialising in:
Double-coated breeds, including handling and coat maintenance (particularly Samoyeds, Huskies and Malamutes)
Coat maintenance and positive handling at home (for dog guardians)
General behavioural advice (for both groomers and dog guardians)

Discovery Session:
You can either send me an email or social media message (including video and photos if required), or we can arrange a 15-minute Zoom call to chat through the issue. I will then be able to advise what would be the best next step: whether it be a longer Zoom session, an in-person meeting or a referral to another canine professional.
This session is free of charge and an essential first step for all new enquiries.
30-Minute Quick Chat via Zoom
This is great for the more straightforward queries where you just want to check that you are on the right path or if you need to make slight adjustments to your current plan, whether that be for grooming or behavioural issues.
Priced at £30.
1-Hour In-Depth Chat via Zoom plus follow-up
This is perfect for those queries that require more detail, e.g. puppy intro grooms/compacted double coats. Suitable for dog guardians and professional groomers.
Priced at £75.
This includes follow-up for 14 days after the consult.
In-salon Guidance for Canine Professionals
For new or experienced groomers who would prefer in-person instruction. It may be that you are struggling with a particular issue and want step-by-step advice on how to tackle it, including handling techniques and behavioural analysis. We will go through suitable products and equipment for the coat/skin type of that specific dog, plus a discussion on how we would manage owner expectations, pricing and scheduling future grooms.
The session would be a maximum of 3 hours long and take place at DogzBody Spa in Manchester.
You will be expected to take the lead in grooming the dog but with 1:1 instruction and support at all times. We would ask that you supply a suitable dog for the session (you could offer a discounted groom to a current client – we can advise on the best way to recruit a demo dog if needed).
Priced at £150
(please note, prices are subject to change if the dog is very large or matted, and requires more product/extra washing and drying time).
In-salon Guidance for Dog Guardians
Are you struggling to keep on top of your dog’s coat at home? Does your dog seem to hate being brushed and you would like him/her to enjoy the experience more? Are you unsure what equipment to use and want to know the best way to bathe and dry your dog in between professional grooms that won’t result in matting and knots?
This session would take place at DogzBody Spa in Manchester. You would bring your own dog to work with.
Option 1: 1 hour session, including discussion and maintenance/brushing demonstration (no bathing).
Priced at £50.
Option 2: 2.5 hour session. This includes initial discussion, plus a walk-through of bathing, drying and brushing. Written feedback (including links to products/tools used) will be sent via email following the session.
Priced from £85 for small to medium breeds and £100 for large breeds.
